Press and content creators (YouTubers, streamers) are still one of the biggest ways a small game reaches new players — but they get pitched constantly, so how you pitch decides whether you are opened or deleted. Two things do the work: a short, specific email, and a press kit that answers every question in one link.
The pitch email
- A subject line that says what the game is, not “check out my game”
- Two or three sentences: what it is, why it is interesting, why it fits them specifically
- A trailer link, a press-kit link, and an offer of a free review/streaming key
- No giant attachments, no wall of text — respect that they skim
The press kit
A press kit is a single web page that has everything a journalist or creator needs to cover you without emailing back: a description, key facts (studio, platforms, price, release date), a trailer, screenshots, logos, and your contact. If they have to ask you for an asset, you have added friction at the exact moment they were willing to help.
